Pike came to me from kennel Dreaming of You Belgium. He was also co-owning with Kennel Mithrandir but unfortunetly his official hip results was not what we expected so he was trasfered under my name. Pike has been very promising for agility and obedience and herding. He has mainly done sheepwork but also basics to obedience and agility as a puppy. He is a friendly dog who loves to play and eat. He is very hungry all the time and very food driven. He has no problem to change from food to playing. But this is something that we have been focused. He has a huge engine in him to play and run. He is very fast in his movements and uses his body power a lot of things. Pike loves people and is just the sweetest boy who always wants to give kisses to people. He is very much focused on me and keen to work. He is definetly a ladies dog. Prefers ladies over guys. Still he will do sheepwork almost to anyone. He hasn`t got much of eye so that makes him very easy to move around where ever you want. Either has he got a lot of sheep sense naturally so trialwise big effort is in the handler`s controlling and guiding when doing fancy stuff and driving lines. But he will move anything for me without hesitation and he is quite strong-minded and doesn`t care that much if the sheep put a bit of pressure to him. He has been trialled in sheepdog trials in Finland (PPR1, PAIM1) and has done farm work with me in the UK. As a character with other dogs he is a bit sharp on his reactions and wants to be a pack leader but doesn`t always have the calm believe in himself when situations come up in the pack. He has a bit of habit to guard his resources (food,, toys and me). He is the pack leader of my pack though but only after me and has got now loads of patience more with other dogs since he was younger. He is very motivated do as I wish which is one of the biggest things to help with communication between my dogs. He has no problems with my own pack of dogs as long as things are run by how I as leader want to. He just adores me over the moon and back and wishes to please. That is something very special in him and I don`t think there will be another dog like that. Pike has no problems on different kind of surfice and no reactions to hard noices.
